While Tulip Diagnostics (P) Ltd., focuses on assay systems for Immunohaematology, Hematology, Rheumatology, Infectious Diseases, Hemostasis and Instrumentation, its Division Microxpress focuses on Dehydrated Culture Media, Bases, Supplements, Reagent and Test kits, Sterile ready prepared plates, Antimicrobial Susceptibility discs, Plant tissue culture media and chemicals for Microbiology and Mycobacteriology. Orchid Biomedical Systems, Qualpro Diagnostics, Zephyr Biomedicals focuses on Rapid membrane & ELISA based immunodiagnostic platforms for Fertility, Infectious Diseases, Parasitology and Cancer Markers. Viola Diagnostic Systems deals with Rapid immunoassays for Parasitology range. Coral Clinical Systems focuses on Clinical Biochemistry and Instrumentation while its division BioShields deals with High-Quality antiseptics and disinfectants for industrial, medical and domestic use.

Tulip Group of companies currently has eight manufacturing sites in Goa and one in North India. The recent expansion of a plant in Uttarakhand, which is specifically for in vitro diagnostics, has been a major endeavor for Tulip during the year. Additionally, the company will also be making substantial facility additions in the times to come, depending on the demand.

All the group companies are ISO 9001:2008, EN ISO 13485: 2012 compliant. The group’s products are manufactured in professionally set up modern facilities complying with relevant FDA guidelines. Most of the products are CE certified with exports to over 87 countries across the world through organized distributor setup.

The company’s national network business is built around 12 branch locations with more than 400 sales and service professionals headquartered all over the country to carry forward its customer contact and sales programme to a customer base of over 20,000 customers and 350 distributors.

Tulip Group has continuously evolved foraying into different ventures. Tulip Instruments Division was launched in the year 2000 to complement the Precision, Accuracy, and Reliability of Tulip reagents. Since then semi-automated and automated Clinical chemistry Analysers, Turbidimetry Analysers, ELISA Processors, Coagulometers, Gel System Instruments, Osmomerty, Cell counters etc. that can perform reliably in domestic conditions, have been set up in major pathological laboratories and hospitals both in India and abroad. The Instruments Division has grown rapidly to over 5500 installations across the country and other parts of the world.

Tulip has always responded to user requirements, leading the forefront in the development and introducing cutting-edge technology based product platforms. Matrix™ Gel System based on gel column technology is one such venture. The recent introductions include rapid diagnostic tests for blood grouping and drugs of abuse. Additionally, enzymatic tests for biochemistry, new dehydrated culture media, plant tissue culture were also introduced into the market. Last year Tulip Group entered the world of Molecular Diagnostics with the launch of the unique portable “Truelab™ Real-Time micro PCR system” at the hands of the Honourable President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee. It hopes that this portable Real-time PCR which gives results in less than 30 minutes will be a game-changer in the diagnostics field. RT PCR or Truelab™ Real-Time PCR system is a product that is borne of MolBio Diagnostics, a Tulip and Bigtec JV that was initiated in late 2011.
