Now, apply and pay online for YEIDA housing scheme

Prospective buyers of flats launched by the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) can now look forward to a hassle-free application and payment procedure as the development authority started accepting online payments from November 3.

For starters, YEIDA has launched the facility for its multi-storeyed flat scheme, Yamnotri Housing Scheme in Sector 22A that was announced on Monday. “Prospective buyers can apply online and also make the payment online without having to visit the YEIDA office in Greater Noida,” said P C Gupta, CEO of YEIDA.

The online facility is expected to benefit over 25,000 people. “It will be a boon for allottees of residential, institutional, industrial, commercial and group housing categories of land, besides prospective investors in the area,” Gupta said.

Allottees will need to log on to the YEIDA website, http://yamunaexpresswayauthority.com, and a pop-up box will take them to the newly launched online payment facility. Every applicant will have a login ID and password.

Officials said that allottees would have three options to pay – direct debit, credit cards and net banking. The authority has tied up with 20 public and private sector banks for the debit payment facility, they said.

Gupta said that the authority has also tied up with ICICI bank and is in talks with HDFC to implement payments and receipts through RTGS (Real Time Gross Settlement) system and National Electronic Funds Transfer (NEFT). “Development of software for payment through RTGS and NEFT, a nationwide payment system facilitating one-to-one funds transfer, has been implemented,” he said.

Officials said that in addition to payments, allottees can check all the information related to the property on the portal. “The online system will also enable the allottees to know the exact status of their account,” said Gupta.

“Buyers or investors can also download a form and make physical payments at a bank or at the YEIDA office,” Gupta said.

The authority also has plans to introduce the online facility for other essential services. In the next phase, people would be able to pay their property instalments, water/sewer charges, lease rent, interest, penalties and surcharge, among other things, officials said.
