Hebbal\'s a big hit with families, retired personnels

Being an assembly constituency of Bangalore District, Hebbal was once situated on the northern border of the capital. But after Bangalore’s expansion, this locality falls well within the Bangalore Metro area. A quaint settlement that is less polluted compared to its other counterparts, Hebbal is a huge favourite amongst families and retired personnel’s due to its established social infrastructure and the Hebbal Lake.

A key transit point for many localities, Hebbal enjoys great connectivity. The vicinity is well networked to other parts of the city via roads and rail. The proposed Phase III of the Namma Metro in Hebbal is further pushing the realty demand here.

>> Planned and created by KempeGowda in the year 1537, Hebbal was essentially known for being a home to a picturesque lake

>> Spread across 150 acres, the Hebbal Lake is one of the oldest and the most popular lake in the city

>> It is an important tourist destination

>> Offering a recreation spot to its residents, the lake is one of the key drivers that is pushing the realty demand here

>> Becoming a key transit point to many localities, Hebbal enjoys great connectivity

>> The locality’s maze-style flyover that networks well with two arterial roads - ORR (Outer Ring Road) and Bellary Road has helped property prices to soar

>> Residents are majorly dependent on water tankers due to scarce water supply

>> However, the proposal to include Hebbal into Greater Bangalore will help meet the water demand as the BWSSB (Bangalore Water Supply and Sewage Board) has granted INR 1,000 crore to introduce water projects to supply water to Greater Bangalore localities

>> BMTC (Bangalore Metropolitan Transportation Corporation) runs a number of buses from the Hebbal Bus Stand that helps improve intercity connectivity

>> Via rail, the Hebbal Railway Station has many trains that connect to localities like Yeshwantpur, Banaswadi, Belandur and Anekal Road
