Commercial plots scheme launched in twin cities of Noida & Greater Noida

The twin authorities of Noida and Greater Noida launched commercial schemes for entrepreneurs and investors on Friday offering commercial plots ranging from 80 sq metres to 372 metres in size in Noida and shops and kiosks in Greater Noida.

According to officials, brochures for the scheme will be available in designated banks from August 25 and the scheme will close on September 24 in Noida and September 15 in Greater Noida.

The commercial plots are available in industrial, residential, institutional and commercial sectors of the city and include some of the prime sectors like 1, 12, 16, 18 and 20. Officials said that 60 plots of size less than 300 sq metres and 20 plots measuring greater than 300 sq metres are part of the scheme.

In Greater Noida, shops and kiosks located in sector Delta, Swarn Nagri will be available for bidding. Some of these plots on offer include plots from previous schemes, officials said.

Noida Authority also launched a residential plot scheme for farmers, offering 774 plots of 162 sq metre each in sector 151, to those whose lands were acquired by the government before 1997 and after 1976. Brochures of farmers plot scheme will be available from Saturday August 16. The scheme will close on September 2, officials said.

The plot scheme, meant for nearly 3500 farmers, whose land the authority had acquired for urbanization prior to 1997, was first launched on July 2011. But the scheme got cancelled midway after a controversy related to who all qualified as beneficiaries. The scheme was re-launched in October 2013 but was again postponed.
