Tata Housing starts five affordable housing projects

New Delhi: Tata Housing Development Company has started five affordable housing projects, including one in the city, a top official of the company said Tuesday.

"We are setting up five affordable housing projects across the country, including Kolkata," Tata Housing CEO and Managing Director Brotin Banerjee told reporters here today.

In Kolkata the company has entered into a development manager model with Square Four Group to set up a project on B T Road in the northern part of the metropolis.

Under the development manager model for the Kolkata project, Tata Value Homes, a 100 percent subsidiary of Tata Housing, would provide managerial and technical expertise including ground support.

The investment would be by Square Four group which would be Rs 1,800 crore.

Banerjee said Tata Housing would invest between Rs 2,500 crore to Rs 3,000 crore for building premium and affordable housing projects in the coming years.
