In pics: Gurgaon latest real estate trends

The year began on a positive note for Delhi with the Listed Price witnessing a rise of 1 per cent. However, the positives ended there. The year 2014 for Delhi realty was a period of lull when the market dynamics did not favour both buying as well as selling. While there was enthusiasm over the land pooling policy in the beginning of the year, it lost steam as the year progressed. Lack of clarity and the general consensus of industry experts that it was too early to invest in the same, resulted in a drop in interest.

As opposed to the previous years when localities in South Delhi were preferred by buyers, 2014 witnessed the revival of other zones. West Delhi saw increased buyer demand. Sectors of Dwarka and Uttam Nagar figured consistently at the top of the list of preferred residential options. Even the eastern parts of the city such as Laxmi Nagar and Vasundhara Enclave have witnessed increased demand.
